sterling forest opening day _ what time ?

So im confused. Was told by a ranger i cant enter the park till half hour before sunrise. Doesnt make sense cause ur supposed to be able to night hunt coyote here. Help

Prob because the hours of operation are dawn to dusk.

To night hunt predators there, you need to obtain a predators pass and then call in advance to let them know you'll be there that night hunting predators.  Must provide plate number to car as well.

And that doesnt start till the 17th?

Not sure when it starts since both times I went were after deer season.  I was initially thinking that you can call in and tell them you're predator hunting and then just stay in till the sunrises but I guess if they're saying not till the 17th then that might squash that idea.

Kinda pissed. Takes me a damn hour just to hike where i hunt and i cant get in the park till the sun is just about up. Pointless.
