So how are...

Recommended Posts

all of the plots looking in this warm weather?

Mine look great ...but the HR has sent up a lot of tall flower stalks...just no frost to slow them down 50's at night...the pumpkins are great!..Big and finally going yellow...about 27 of them and only two nibbled on...the turnips are at different stages due to staggered planting in plots...some are2x the size of soft bals and some ping pong balls...my clover and alfalfa is a beautiful emerald green ...the deer are hitting the oats and WW ...but it's thin...for I planted clover in it....hhhmm that did not do well...Aslike and red....hhmmm planned on rocking and discing in spring any ways...

I didn't get my brassicas in until August 18th, but they are doing very well...The bigger turnips are about baseball size and they go down from there to ping pong ball size.. The bigger radishes are perhaps and inch in diameter and about 8 inches long..The rape came up well but the deer are mowing it down so it hasn't got that tall..

My Clover/ Oats plot went in about 10 days after the brassicas..It is lush..The oats are about a foot tall and heavy..The best part is the clover came up SUPER, even in the few spots where the oats are sparse..I planted the NWTF subsidized Rut N Strut which has 4 kinds of clover, and it is doing really well..Should be even better next year..
