Uncle Nicky
Almost forgot...another positive to investing in land...you are in control of your investment, a Wall Street shyster can't tell you, "OOPS, guess I made the wrong call by telling you to buy 1000 shares of ABC corp." If you go that route, just make sure you pay the taxes, enjoy it for as long as you can, and don't expect to get rich overnight (unless they start fracking). jjb4900
If I had money to spend on hunting land, I would spend it all on one piece of land in a deer rich area and improve on that land.....unless I'm seriously mistaken, land is currently at an all time high and expecting a return on it is a pipe dream unless you have no problem sub-dividing and selling it off to make money. ItalianHunter5
I would want to hunt the heck out of the property first and then if I got in a jam sell it off haha. Just a dream of mine to own desirable land in our home state.

Just a dream of mine to own desirable land in our home state. Just my $.02, but I don't see this as being a bad idea. Just do your homework before you sign on the dotted line. I'd buy another hunting property in a heartbeat before I ever spend another dime at the Wall Street casino.
ItalianHunter5
Thanks Uncle Nicky, I agree. I definitely will not spend money on stock market and wall street. I'd rather be able to see what I am putting my money into and not throwing it into something that can go 50/50.
shawnhu
Man I gotta tell you, it's a little easier upstate in Columbia because it's a lot of farmers but around here in Putnam I came up with a list and got 1 maybe and now i'm trying to hold the guy to it. Very difficult because most people look at us hunters as criminals... Interesting choice of words. Good luck getting access, might be a better idea to purchase land after all. Kot2B
Simple enough, they're not making more land ever day. If you have the time and money to invest, do it. Jmo
