Where is best Snowshoe Hare or Cottontail State Property?

Hey guys, anybody know a good area for snowshoe hare hunting in Adirondacks ? Also any good cottontail spots on long island. I do not shoot many, just really enjoy the chase with the dogs. Be glad to take somebody along if want to get out.

There's some good snowshoe spots in Schoharie county--a lot closer to LI than the Adirodacks.  If you go, I'd love some beagle and hare pix and an account for my column for the NY Houndsmen.

tug hill plateau area nd the area around Stratford. Both have accessablbe public lands. I grew up hunting whites there but it has been a while.

It was a while ago ..I think my cousin lived off 29A on a road called sealey...there were seasonal rods off that and they were also snowmobile trails so it made for nice walking from one patch to the next

Redfield, Barnes Corners, Copenhagen, Montague. All places I snoeshoe hunted with tons of stateland.
