How do you hunt mountain laurel ?????????        My friend the hiker told me he always sees deer in the thick mountain laurel.   So I went hiking with him today.   It was thick in there.   20-30 yard visibility at most.  Mountain laurel, and other low bushes.    I saw some droppings, so there in there.   But I usually hunt from the ground, no stand.

I prefer to hunt in the big woods, with 200 yard visibility all around me.    Never hunted the thick stuff,  he assures me there in there.

How do you hunt through the thick stuff ?   The line of site is so limited.

Used to hunt laurels in NW CT, look for rub lines entering or exiting, and set up using the wind to your advantage. Make sure you are well covered, as the above post says, those deer will stay on the edge of the laurel forever, looking for danger, before they exit the thick stuff.
