Wife says we gotta be out the door by 5pm

Wife tells me to be home by 4. We gotta be ready and out the door by 5. Guess what? She hasn't begun to even get ready for a family that we had to be to by 5:30. I lost 3 hours of hunting time. I say I'm glad I got ready by 5. You think after 5 years I would have learned to shut my mouth. Sorry had to vent somewhere I won't get yelled at. Lmao

I know the feeling. Brad Paisley's waiting on a woman comes to mind. Always late for everything but want us home super early just to wait for them. haha

Seriously, I'da left.   We had some close friends who were ALWAYS late. VERY rude behavior IMHO.  I got sick and tired of telling them that dinner would be at X:00 and to come early for a drink or so and then dinner.     They'd invariably show up at X:00 plus at LEAST a half hour, more than likely an hour plus.

 

One time I said dinner was X:00 and it was served at X:00.  They showed up an hour late, everything was cleaned up and put away.  I gently told them it was served at X:00.  They've never been late since. At least to our house.

I hate being late. And I especially hate when others are late to meet me someplace. I agree it's rude behavior. My wife is pretty good about being on time. Its the getting ready part that takes so long that drives me nuts. Especially if it's someplace that has the kid all fired up and she leaves me downstairs to entertain him and a 8 month old while she's messing around taking her time upstairs. It never fails that I'm about ready to pull my hair out and she will come down and say "come on let's go why isn't the baby in his car seat already?". I just shake my head with nothing to say...
