Snowshoe Hares

I usually try to head up to Fort Drum for some snowshoe hare and grouse hunting for a weekend once a year...Didn't make it up there last year but am planning to head up there this year.  I've heard that Snowshoe Hares kind of run in a 10 year cycle as far as population numbers...for those out that way, how are their numbers looking this year?

Not sure up there, but we were down for several years around here. I have noticed this year they are plentiful.
