pike fishing, long lake NY??

anyone know about how the pike fishing is up in long lake, not looking for ice fishing, thinking I want to get em on my flygear, any info would be great

There should be some knowledgable folks who can let you know how it's been lately. I haven't been there in over 5 years but when I was there we caught pike and even some nice bass. Beautiful lake and area... just don't know if it's stayed any good of late.

I heard there are some decent pike but the wind can be quite a PITA, from what I have read, and been told it is basically a wind tunnel since it is long and narrow. I have always wanted to fish it but haven't due to that fact.
