have I mentioned I HATE late summer/fall weeds!...my aching back...and with all this rain...BTW in forecast until August 3rd...they are growing likw 3 in. a day! and non stop sprouting!

Me too, driving me nuts.  Great purslane crop on my parsnip patch.  So easy to grow!  growalot... do you eat it?   I tasted it I could see using it in place of water cress.  Just wondering.

yes ..added to salads and this year it's a PITA...I mean every where...if it was a bit droughty I would not mind as much..it can act as a cover crop to retain soil moisture...but we have more than enough moisture...lol...

A year like this makes one appreciate black plastic mulch. I let my garden go to red clover. Sell the hay and buy the neighbors veggies. The deer weed it naturally.

 

It's just been to wet the last two Springs,  to get in without rice tires

You have definitely gotten more than we have on LI.  The ponds at the archery range are empty (2) and one is green.  Mowed lawn 2 weeks ago.
