Sell me your 12 gauge

I'm on a tight budget and am looking for a used 12 gauge that could be good for all purpose use.  I really like the Mossberg 835 or Rem 870 variants.  This would be used for hunting pheasant, turkey, deer, grouse and anything else that feels like jumping in front of it.  Not looking for anything fancy, but if you've got a decent beginner gun that is sitting in your safe and you'd rather have $100-200 instead, let me know.  Thanks.

You won't find an 870 or an 835 for $200.  Look for a 3" Mossberg 500.  Those can be had for $200 and will do everything you want it to do.

 

I had one as my first firearm and used it for everything.  I sold it.  That was 45 years, and about 50 other guns ago.

Just remember the overbored guns like the 835 if you plan on shooting slugs you need a slug barrel and shouldn't shoot slugs from the bird barrel
