figured it out...

So as I said after shooting my buck , the turkeys still were'nt riled up so I went to recock it and it would not take... No turkey for me! So here is a heads up...

 

I put a dampening system on it which included a dampener for the bolt holder on rail...well at that particular shot it had finally ridden up on the metal far enough, that it kept the hook/trigger from engaging.  Not allowing the string to hook and also engage the safety....so when unloading at night if you have a dampener on that check  to make sure it has'nt moved....going out this after noon and hope the turkeys are on their regular rounds...cam says yes we'll see...

What crossbow and what was the name of the dampener. I was looking at them.

Hunting with a crossbow is a whole new thing, it's like you learn something new every time you go out to the stand. I'm pretty much over my learning curve but it took a couple years,lol.
