virgil
I'm hunting new land this season and saw a coyote last weekend. I was tempted to shoot for the purpose of eliminating a predator. But, I'm not comfortable with killing an animal that I don't intend to make use of. If I see one again- and I think I will- I'd like to have a plan for after the kill. For all you coyote hunters, what do you do with the yotes that you kill?
Twax10
Learn how to properly skin and tan the hide and then contact a few taxidermists or other places and see who is interested in it. I'm not huge on killing something that I don't plan to eat either, but when the landowners are asking me to thin the heard because of problems with their livestock I don't mind. And atleast you'll be making use of them and not just tossing the whole thing in a ditch.
