crossbow during rifle

can i use a cross bow during rifle season? i dont have any rifle hunting spots and would like to be able to hunt more spooked deer like with a gun and not have to draw back the bow using extra movement

yes this is planning for next season, college student starts saving full year ahead for expensive toys, i also realize crossbows dont have the effective range that guns do lol
