There should be no amendments to bills allowed and they should have figured that out decades ago. It seems to me it's like a bunch of high school clicks trying to one up each other ...They are the ones we have running our government!

Unfortunately, these things are much too common. Ds, Rs, it doesn't matter. They all do it. These amendments are called "poison pills" for a reason.
