Winchester Deer Season XP

I just bought a box of Winchester Deer Season XP in .243. It's a 95 grain bullet with an "eXtreme Point". It's a new offering from Winchester specifically designed for deer. Specs are 3100fps from a 24 inch tube, .376 BC. It's a flat base ballistic tip type bullet. Maybe I can call up a public land Georgia buck and see how they work.

Good luck..Make sure you don't hit a ham...

 

I'd stay away from shoulders, too, with that bullet..

 

I imagine it will be devastating if you hit 'em in the ribcage...

I think the bullet is supposed to be rapid expansion but the core is supposed to provide optimal penetration. I want to shoot one into some water jugs to get an idea of what it does.
