Jason118
Given my mission package was over $1800 I still feel inclined to chime in. My crossbow pushing 400fps will put bolts in a 4 1/2 group threw the block every time at 100yrds My bow shoots 320fps ( I think) and won't put them threw at 40yrds. It's not a cure all but it's a much better killing machine than my bow. Given You can't shoot groups at 60yrds because it would cost you a lot of money. Darn thing will out shoot the rifled SBE all day long. Now the guy that goes and buys a $300 dollar crossbow at Dicks 2 days before opening day and never bow hunted? ~ he is going to injure deer. The bow hunter or the guy who puts in some time with the new tool should be proficient out to 50yrds as good or better as a seasoned bow hunter at 30yrds and do it with much more ease. When people talk down about crossbows I always think they are referring to Joe blow walking around on non scouted public land with the stench of whisky from the night before still soaked on his camouflage. The real hunters will have a great advantage. I hunt with some Great bow hunters that didn't want to spend big money either. They do just fine and hang up their bows soon as the season starts
Meat First
When both sides are not fully happy (Full inclusion v. Anti X-bow) they call that a good deal. Maybe DEC has got this one right??
