Andy 3F
So I'm looking around on the DEC site at fur bearers and small game stuff. It said that small game and fur bearers default to the local regulations for that area. Now I'm totally confused.... So in Dutchess County they only allow bow, crossbow, muzzle loader, shotgun, and handgun for regular deer season. Ok, I can work with that. What if I'm out hunting squirrels that means I cant use my .22 during regular deer season in dutchess? Or do these regulations only pertain to Deer hunting? http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/35010.html#mapdescriptions
diplomat019
I believe they only pertain to deer hunting
13BVET
You CAN use the .22 for squirrels in Dutchess County. It is perfectly legal.
BizCT
When it's not deer season of any kind, you can use a rifle for furbearers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
