Lost most of the beard

Took this gobbler few years ago, and after walking up to him noticed right off that it could of been a real dandy of a beard on this rascal if it hadn't broke off!!!

It looks like too clean a cut for that.

It's not beard rot, however, That usually affects the whole beard and the rotted ends have a brownish color.

Did you have some shells loaded with razor blades, Paulie ?..<<grin>>..

Yeah, I am thinking possibly some ice had accumulated on it and he must of jerked away and ended up ripping it off? Was surprised to see that, it would of been a real dandy of a beard too!!
