So I went to Taconic SP for a weekend of camping Friday, Saturday Sunday and Monday and for some turkey hunting. Scouted New Forge all day Friday in the rain and Hunted it Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning and saw NOTHING. Sunday when leaving the park i saw at least 6 Jakes in the bend of the road not 1000 feet from the New Forge southern parking lot. Arrrrrgh!! Came back Monday morning with a vengeance but saw not a bird, What a wet cold windy weekend.

 

Hopefully next weekend will be different.
