Waterfowl Hunting State Parks

Anyone know if you can waterfowl hunt in any of the state parks/forests in the southern zone? If so what has been your experience. I am looking for some public land to do a little duck hunting so if anyone has any recommendations it would be much appreciated.

Check out the DEC site. I've never hunted any of those spots in the SE zone, but maybe they are good?

Waterfowl spots are hard to come by in the southern zone. The Great swamp has become a lost cause most places are privately accessed and owned by non hunters. The huntable parts are either a hell of a trek with a boat/wade combo or over hunted. Have my best luck puddle pond hunting state land in the area and small lake hunting. I get some sideways looks and even had one lady yell at me when coming back to the boat ramp on one spot but its legal what can they do you just smile and keep on moving.

some in the fingers lakes region are only open for the late season
