Olana hosts ‘Tree-torials’ tour July 16

GREENPORT >> Anyone interested in learning more about native and foreign trees in the Hudson Valley can take part in the “Tree-torials: Species Tour” at Olana State Historic Site at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 16.

Participants will explore the carriage roads and panoramic views with environmental educator Fran Martino, and learn about trees planted by Hudson River School painter Frederic Church. They will look for trees that have been at Olana since the Church family lived there in the 19th century.
