G-Man
Well after a crappy cold.may it's been warm and dry, birds that lost 1st nest seem to have done very well with second nesting. Hot and dry leaves little scent for predators to follow. Perhaps the hatch will lift bird numbers for the fall. 1 good nesting season can do amazing things for numbers.
growalot
Speaking of...the two chick-less hens came back yesterday...one had 3 the other 5 chicks...and they were shorter than my 6'' clover.... I had a heck of a time counting them...but going frame by frame I could spot their movement...so 2 breeding/nesting
