Blinds

Food plot is planted. There is a cluster of trees in the middle of the field where I want to put a blind. Do you prefer building something, (not a box/house) using trees and sticks for cover or prefer pop-up blinds. Trying to cut costs.

How is the prevailing wind suit that cluster of trees ? 

We built a ground blind last year with fallen timber.  Latched logs together. Easy peasy. Turkey strut chairs are the nuts to sit in too. Ugh pic is sideways

That looks nice. On the line with what I was thinking. Only problem I have is the ground isn't level so I may have to put a piece of ply wood down

Ground wasn't level here either. Quick leveling with shovel fixed it. Daughter not old enough to hunt from stand yet so we built this last summer. She went with me a few times. Youth hunt for her this year though ! Top poles in front and behind are lashed in tight. Make for great shooting rails. Take a look at turkey strut seats for like $20 at Cabela's. Sit low and comfy. Well blend our blind in late September. Post pics when you get yours up and running. Ours is nice as its in a small stand of hemlock. Nice cover overhead to shield sun and getting skylined . Snow , not so much lol
