growalot
I said I don't mind when it's small buck or even no buck on our property spring through summer...because the girls will draw them in when they disperse in late Aug. Sept...Well this year even the doe didn't show...but Here we are Sept first and they are back....Granted, in the acorns but still here and today the surprise encounter with the 10pt...you guys would call him a perfect 8 with stickers...over 2" so 10 for my count...traffic along our road and property has increased...some of these guys could get out and walk along side their trucks going down the hill.,No one works around here...lol So others have been catching site of them on our place...deer scat has increased and the cams are picking up a variety of boys... I see they are now blazing trails through the tall grass growing in the corn...that has just started developing ears....some very big tracks on some trails. We rarely see rubs until the end of bow season and scrape a little before that....Though the cams pic them up wandering around. I always wondered about why that is...so many more fawns than I thought were out and about...nice to see.

growalot
Not according to the DEC...Didn't they say the buck take will be lower this year...Thought that's what I read anyhow....Being in ag country makes a big difference though. Lawdwaz
The DEC? They get a lot right but as we know (last years early archery/ML'er season to name one thing) they can miss the mark as easy as anybody.......
