what kind of NYer are you Biz?  I don't like baseball much, but pull for the Yanks because my 97 year old gramps watched nearly every game when he was alive.

Was a Mets fan as a kid in the 80's (mostly because of my Dad). Then they traded Lenny Dykstra (my favorite player) and I vowed to never root for them again. Mid 90's I started as a red sox fan while everyone else I know rooted for the Yanks during their 4 WS run. I wanted to root for an underdog I guess. Times changed for sure, with the Sox winning in 04 07 and 13. I was on the season ticket list for like 12 years before I was called in the winter between '12 and '13, after the 2012 Bobby V collapse.

 

In football, everyone was a Jets or Giants fan, so I chose the Chiefs because of Derrick Thomas, Christina Okoye, their cool colors, and they were chiefs when I played for the Indians in my hometown. Still waiting for a SB lol.
