Funny but I find the fact and it is fact that the gun lobby and GOP killed any bills that would allow the CDC to study gun deaths and the effect of gun laws on them driven by the idea that they know what the finding will be...

I'll learn from Example of what happens in Countries that have restricted people from owning. France comes to mind with Australia. Wipe all the guns away you want and a bad person with ill intent will find a way to commit violent acts of injustice. From My Cold Dead Hands Buddy!

You can make a police state like north korea and stop all  crime just about  that is the only way to stop crime. But do you really want that  NO !!!

oooooooh look Chicago!, if i had a nickle foe every idiot that said that I'd be Trump.

Oooh look at Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Illinois. Rhode Island. Maryland, Hawaii, New York, Massachusetts. New Jersey and California. All of which have passed tougher gun laws and saw dramatic drop in gun deaths. Notice that Illinois (the state with Chicago in it) also saw a statewide drop in gun deaths.

FACTS LJC not stupid internet memes repeated ad naseum

O look California has the most reported annual murders, with 1699 so much for your stats and here is another one most the muders happen I inner cities and  everyone of those has very strict gun laws including the city's  in states you list and the murder rates there are some of the highest in the country .

Your stats are pseudoscience made up bs by gun grabbers not to be taken seriously. For example

New York with the most gun contol laws the so called safe city has much more muders and crime then farm country upstate ny where every one has a gun .  Like I said  the gun  control experiment has been done already it has little to no impact on crime what so ever.

I've said this before, but some people don't seem to want to comprehend the truth.  "Gun Violence" is Leftist Liberal Code Speak for "GANG VIOLENCE"!

Control the gangs and the criminals who have guns and 90% of all crimes committed with a firearm will disappear.  Not doing so simply creates a huge black market for another commodity like drugs, whores and even cigarettes.  Remember how Prohibition created Al Capone's empire?

The CDC was being asked to write a conclusion to a study, prior to it being done.  They were NOT going to separate criminal use of guns, from LEGAL use of guns, by law enforcement, or citizens using them to stay alive.

That's why the NRA and the GOP were against it!  And that's why Democrats are to be ignored!  They do not have your rights, or the citizen's best interests in mind.  They want you disarmed!

I'll let you extrapolate on the reason why.

Any gun owner or hunter who supports the Democrat's gun ban agenda, has been blindly indoctrinated into the Leftist Progressive gun ban agenda and has stopped seeking the truth and thinking for themselves.  Their hatred for Conservatives drives them more than any form of analytical thinking.

If it's a FACT gun control does NOT control crime or criminals, and that's an indisputable FACT, what the hell are we doing it for???

GUESS!!

You are 100% correct ask you selfs this  all the guys here hunt shoot much more then most people I go out in public lands hunting sometimes  in places  with 100 hunters in a few hundred  acres guns up the ass everywhere  nobody ever gets shot killed nothing like that the  stats show most likely dealth of a hunter is heart attack.  Just to prove a point that just because there are more guns around does not mean you will have more gun violence or dealths if that was true there would be a lot more shot hunters then there are each year during hunting season.  It's gang vilance that's the real problem in this country.

John Lott responds to the NYT's personally:

Dear Letters Editor:

The Times incorrectly describes a study as showing that gun control laws reduce violence (“Gun-Control Groups Push Growing Evidence That Laws Reduce Violence,” October 11th). But the study — by the Center for American Progress — never examines how rates of violence change before and after gun laws are adopted. The study simply compares violence rates across states. Yet, states have a lot of differences beyond what gun control laws are on their books. The Center for American Progress does not account for any factors such as differences in law enforcement (e.g., arrest rates), demographics, and income. For example, rural states have higher suicide rates partially because the male/female ratio is so out of balance.

More useful academic research follows states over time to see how rates of violence change with the adoption of different laws. These changes are then compared to the states that did not change their laws.

Sincerely,

John R. Lott, Jr., Ph.D.
President
Crime Prevention Research Center
