Hello all. I'm a new hunter & doing

Some research on where to hunt lose to home ( Rockland co). Just wondering if anyone hunts Sterling forest park in the Tuxedo area ? Any good? Any info is appreciated

I ve hunted there for the first time last year. Didn't see much but betting like a lot of others the weather was a big factor in that. Try the Long Swamp area down past the post office by Rhoads Bar off of Rt 17 just past Davis Sports shop. There is a lot of places to hunt there so taking a drive/ walking the woods would be a good place to start.

PS Where in Rockland are you?

I'm in Stony Point. I know where Davis is. Buy my guns & stuff there. I was gonna go to the parks visitor center & see what info they can give me. Do I need a special permit to hunt in there? Thanks for the help

Yes, you need a hunting permit for Sterling Forest, $5 at the office.

At this point, you won't be able to hunt the opening weekend due to registering late.

O great i have a permit for that park to dont know if i will even hunt there but give me your license plate number and i will show up just to piss on your truck. Just to give you a taste of what many of us feel obama has been doing to this country  pissing all over it .
