What they are eating...

Recommended Posts

I'm getting lots of pics in what looks like barren turnip plots but the pic shows what they are eating...I mentioned that when I seed a turnip plot I double seed once early mid late July and then a month or more after ...the first seeding keeps the second from developing fully and it gives the deer two different sized bulbs...but it also give a early spring  taste treat. the picture shows the tiny, just a little bigger than chestnuts or big acorns , firm sweet turnips... they are all over the top of the plots right now...frost heaving does this..I know they are sweet greens and bulbs because I eat them...sorta like growing those designer mini veggies. not tough or stringy either. so That is why I talk about doing the over seeding..For one thing, it helps keep them off the emerging clovers
