Too bad for the guy. Kinda weird, but I was always saying when its your time to go it's your time to go. Just like DMV "Your number is up" and no religion or any other believe can change that.

People do stupid stints and survive and here a falling tree in the middle of the night and the guy is dead on the spot, Sure we don't have all details (e.g. what this Brooklyn guy was doing on Taconic at 2 am, alcohol, drugs in the system ? etc.) The fact remains, you don't know your day or time so enjoy the time on this rock, smile, be nice and have fun... no one is getting out of here alive... Merry Christmas :-)
