johnbristen
Wild forest is an ideal place for animals to live. Follow the two aboriginal men to find food, after a long wandering time, they could not find anything. Fortunately, they found a wild porcupine. As we known, porcupine is the animal that has a good self-healing ability. They can attack any risk coming to them, but they usually hide beforehead and only attack when they cannot hide any more. Let’s find out the technology Wilderness and the hunting way of aboriginal people. After hiding for a while, the porcupine quickly came into it’s cave and escaped from the two men. The two men quickly thought of using dried tree in the jungle to cover the cave mouth and began to make a trap. The trap idea is quite simple. First, they chosen a big and firm bamboo tree. Cut a pile of 2m long. Splitting one head into small and even rafts. To make a firm trap, the splited head must be 30cm away from the other head. Then, they use 2 bamboo raft to round the splited head of the bamboo pile. So, the two men has a big and strong trap to catch the porcupine. The bamboo trap will be left in the mouth of the cave, when the porcupine come out, it will be catched. They use leaves to burn on the back of the cave with a hole to lead the smoke into that cave. After a long time making smoke, the porcupine coundn’t stand any longer, he came out into the trap. Unique baking method of aboriginal men. They use rocks in the stream to set a circle about 30cm high with diameter of 20cm. They hang the porcupine inside this circle and set the dried wood outside and burn it. The porcupine was baked evenly thanks to the heat of fire but not be burned because of the rock circle. That is an amazing baking method of aboriginal men. We can see an evenly baked and tasty porcupine in the following picture.
