Pheasants backs?

I can't seem to find the mushroom thread today. Hope it didn't get zapped with the Chinese spammer posts and first x-bow poll,lol.

Was looking to get confirmation on these shrooms being pheasants backs.... or not?

I'm not gonna eat 'em either way. I'm just trying to get smarter about mushrooms, that's all!

They are pheasant backs also called dryads saddle. If you smell them they should smell like watermelon rind or cucumbers.

I did give them the sniff test and got a cucumber odor.

Like I said, I'm just trying to learn some of the tricks you guys use to identify these things better, and just so happen to remember hearing about that tip.
