Dialed up the phone to report my turkey kill to the good old DECALS report system. Things were going ok till after telling them what town I killed the bird in, the phone went silent. Just great!! Now what do I do. After calling the Encon Office I was told I have to call another office to make sure that the kill was confirmed. More wasted time.

This was also another stinkin great feature!! "Be sure to have your DOC number ready" the stupid machine says. So I got it ready. Then it asked for the tag number that was different from my DOC number. So I run out to the garage with phone in hand where the dead turkey (tag is tied to the leg where it is supposed to be) so I can get the tag number.

I'm telling ya folks, this new DECALS system SUUUUUCKS!!

Be ready to pull some hair out this fall.
