Took advantage of extra pair of hands today after the youth hunt, got walls framed for 5x8 box blind ,and rebuilt shooting backstop.. have a tired nephew..

G-man.....what did you set you window height at on that box blind? Throwing another one together on a trailer frame shortly and window height is always the age old debate.

The front windows are at 41in off floor , rear window is at 46.5  this is going on side of hill and is elevated 4 .5 ft, so higher window for shooting uphill and lower for downhill. , I have my 6ft nephew stand holding bow and imagine him shooting up and down hill .measure distance - 2 in  and plus 2 inches.  They are 22 in tall windows and will flip in and down when done.  Tried to make this useable for bow ,crossbow and gun.  I usually use 18 x 36 vertical windows 36 in off floor for my bow blinds. But elevation and expected shot distances determine window heights

Got walls stood up, just need to frame in entrance door ,rafters , windows . More to be done in next few weeks as weather permits.and side and roof it.. .

Just about done, need to trim out windows, and a little sealing hear and there, trim shooting lanes. And it will be..
