I did not know it was illegal to buy them from other hunters.... If that is the case i wouldnt do it.... And the reason I said 10 permits is because i though it was legal for each hunter to have two permits. If I have 5 hunters that would be a total of 10 permits... But again, if its illegal i wont do it.

One quesiton - whats the difference of people trading tags vs a person buying them from someone who doesnt want their tag?

Anyway its a mute point ---- I will not be buying any permits.... And I now have to erase my post on craigslist! Haa!

I understood why ou wanted 10 of them, I just didnt go into too much detail with the DEC. Not trying to report you to them or anything lol.

As for what the difference between trading them and buying them goes, you would have to ask the DEC. Basically from my understanding, the DEC does not sell them, therefore you cannot. Its pretty much the same thing as not selling any wild game meat in NY. Their reasons probably have to do with people not profiting from hunting.
