Got home around 5:00 and saw this doe right off the back yard (top pic) Didn’t spook while I was walking on the gravel 35 yds away. Wife said she’s been hanging around all day except for occasional 15 minute disappearances. Undoubtedly staying near a newborn. About 6:15 we were watching her from the window, and saw her wobbly legged fawn get up from the brush just off our target range. Watched her clean and nurse on and off for a half hour by the 50 yd target.
I had to leave work early today for an eye appointment. Ordinarily I would have gotten home later and missed it. Good timing!

Such beautiful animals.
