Tim Martin
Ok, I know the regulations for crossbow hunting, you can only use them during regular firearms, and the late season archery/muzzleloader seasons with appropriate tags, and signed statement in possesion. My question is when you mark your tag for what implement you used, what would you check as method of take? Would you check firearm, or muzzleloader? It seems to me that when and if they do see a broadhead kill it might get you into trouble with a "problem" officer. Gotta like the information that is forthcoming from DEC on this matter, or the fact that they didn't make the necessary change on the tags. Tim Martin
My appologies for the goofy question, I guess it would only be narrowed down too... In the late season would I check the bowhunting or muzzleloader, with a broadhead kill
WNYBuckHunter
Good question. I would say bow, but you might want to call or email the DEC and make sure.
