Recommended Posts

Virginia is one of 11 states that prohibit hunting on Sundays.

This in from the Gazette Virgininia newspaper:

"Rural Virginia will enjoy peace and quiet with respite from hunters for at least another year, after a House Agriculture, Chesapeake and Natural Resources subcommittee voted to table three bills that would have repealed or rolled back the state’s current ban on Sunday hunting," according to the newspaper's Web site.

“People in rural Virginia especially recognize [sunday] as a day of peace, and hunters who hunt in that area didn’t want it,” said one official. “It’s been up before us the past 15-16 years, and it’s died every year.”
