Rifle hunting big game in Tompkins County

Has anyone heard anything concerning passage of law allowing rifle hunting big game in Tompkins County? I know it passed the TC Legislature and went up to the state level. I guess I'm wondering if it has been signed into law yet, and, if not, when?

Where'd you hear that? It "passed" the public safety committee, was supposed to be voted on at the legislature meeting on 2/21, but has been delayed for reasons unknown to me until 3/20. The legislature hasn't voted on it yet.
