Getting caught up with a lot of updates. On September 20th the Capital District Sportsman Center held a deer hunting 101 Q and A session live on Facebook. They brought in some local experienced individuals for a wealth of knowledge when it comes to deer hunting. This panel ranged from a Region 4 DEC biologist, a local ECO, retired hunt Ed instructor, to NDA volunteers (yours truly

 

Local public hunting access, deer senses, deer behavior/patterns related to hunting, regulations, emergency situations, and go-to gear to have with you in the field.
