animated heron?

many of you guys know what I'm talking about when you sometimes get a picture that has an animated look to it. Picked up this heron pic last week and it looks that way to my eye. (Panasonic Fx48 homebrew)

Cool pict. What's the deal with them standing on one leg, to rest the other? Saw a goose doing this the other day.
