Used to see beaver in an area I hunted ducks. They would tail slap in the pre dawn to show their displeasure with our presence.

Scared the hell out of friends I took with me who had no idea what that was. And if the black bear in the area started moaning within 100 yards of us, they were ready to leave when I told them what that was.
