Would be a trip to land one this big. When I lived in Lousiana I saw a few of these monsters swimming around while fishing. Had one on an occasion use the bass boat I was in for shade. Pretty scarry to have an 8 ft fish that close to you. I caught a 26 inch stripper out of the Sabine River one time that was all tore up from an Alligator Gar attack. He was a mess.
