Turkey sign?

I'm very new to turkey hunting. I was upstate scouting this weekend and saw loads of little patches of scratched/cleared areas in the woods. Most of them were about a foot or so in diameter. The leaves or grass were cleared out and the soil was exposed. I didn't notice any feathers or obvious tracks. I did see a few birds. Are these little clearings turkey sign?

Quite possibly. Look for Turkey scatt in the same area.
