Patterning

I just finished up making my latest turkey gun and took it out to pattern it. Its' a flintlock, 24ga., 48" barrel with a cherry stock. First shot was with a patched round ball, just to verify that my figuring and gut instinct of sight placement were close enough, they are. 80 grains of ff, 1-1/2 oz's. of a #4, #6 mix, i use this mix cuz A guy gave me a two liter bottle of it and I'm not even half way through it. Anyway, at twenty-five yards I'm pretty happy, and will probably experiment with powder amount and distance when the weather cooperates.

I'm going to pattern my 12ga. black powder cap lock when the weather breaks.
