  1. the T17 products from TC work well on modern powders like 777 and are designed for new steel barrels: https://secure.tcarms.com/store/t-17-natural-lube-1000-plus-cat-no-7479.html
  2. yeah, that doesn't sound encouraging.

  9. I just hit the link,..... you are correct. I wonder why the increase esp in mature bucks?????
  10. funny you say that, I have a buddy who swears by them the 100 gr 4 blade MX. He's saying the blood trails are terrific and the only difference is the MX has a thicker blade.
  11. I was intrigued enough to order some more of them tonight. I'll mess around with them a bit.
  12. So one fly in the ointment, I shot a friends Magnus Stinger Buzzcut 100 gr 4 blade yesterday. Nearly Robin Hooded my other arrow with it. How do these things do on deer?
  13. I recall them being so smooth to draw with their K Cam system.
  14. Awesome! As long as parents are responsible.
  15. now that's cool! Wan't Onieda Eagle made in NY at one time too? I know its not anymore.
  16. I called about a 209 kit for my old Big Horn, he was the guy on the other end of the phone. Since then I called to talk to him about powders, pellets and bullets. He's a great guy.
  17. I agree, and the TSX's are great bullets.
  18. Shot my Bear Strike this morning before work again. It continues to impress me. All things considered, it isn't that expensive.
  19. I bought some on ebay already. If I don't like them, they'll go right back on there.
  20. I was looking at the Mountaineer, that is a really nice rifle. I hope they stay in business this time for good. I don't know if Tony is still there.
  21. Thanks Fasteddie. I kind a feel like I owe my curosity a shot with them. No pun intended.
  22. The three properties we hunt in Virginia at 1,500, 2,500 and 7,000 respectively. Tow are vineyads and the third is a cattle ranch. In NY we have a lease on 1,800 acres. However 100 acres of it is under a lake, so we can actually only deer hunt 1,700 of it. We use the three points on one side on that land voluntarily. The herd is starting to improve over the four years we have been doing this. I should also mention that the Virginia properties that make use of the QDM plan adhere to strict record keeping of aging and weight. All qualifying bucks (better than a 15" spread) have a section of their jaw removed which are sent to the DNR office in Wincherster County.
