  1. Agree, I’ve seen 1 deer, a doe, she’s in the freezer, hunt 4 different areas
  2. Humm well I always take mine to the butcher same day I kill it .. He skins and hangs it in the cooler for a day or so.. The inner loins i always just put a little olive oil, salt and pepper and cook med rare! They are always very very tender cut with a fork !
  3. Well couple reasons , there isn’t a big enough tree where I wanted to sit first off .. Second I don’t have a stand I can put up right now but I do have a hub blind .
  4. I’ve never had much luck still hunting , but I’m probably to fast and or noisy
  5. I believe he is just thinking the hub blind may spook deer being only a few weeks left..and sitting hidden wouldn’t
  6. I’d like one more buck or doe , not fussy,promised a friend one for the last two years ,,, Hope I can come thru this year

  8. No that north side field ( top of the screen) is new seeded hay field , basically mud right now South side field is uncut corn , the field I’m in is weeds/uncut hay / goldenrod
  9. That side is a very steep bank and I’d have to come in on private property

  11. From where the two orange lines cross, you can see the tractor path around the inside perimeter of the property
  12. So the field to the north is a hay field , newly seeded , the field to the south is uncut corn.. The property line to the west ( left side of the screen ) has a steep bank and a creek thru it
  13. So a buddy just closed on a pc he bought .. I have two years before he builds on it. I had a spot picked out to put up my blind .. So if I set it up in the morning , how long till the deer won’t be spooked ?
  14. But any burger meat wouldn’t touch the inner cavity anyway
  15. Can’t imagine how the backstraps , hams and or neck and shoulders would even have any contact with gut juice .. Zero hint of any “gut smell” on these inner loins

  17. Ok we ate the tenderloin tonight , it had a slight smell but not a rotted smell just the normal kinda slight gamey smell.. Looked dark red ,, cooked it kinda rare with just a little salt and pepper and olive oil on the grill Tastes normal
