I rode around a little tonight but it was dark and lite rain .. I’ll be able to see better in the morning .
Its 40 degs so the meat should be ok..
I just hope I can find her .. it’s all goldenrod
Man I hate this … it was an easy broadside shot 60 yard shot .
I rocked her, she ran about 40 yards and dropped but her head was up..
It was getting dark and starting to rain so I shot again, she was facing away from me so I shot at the back of her neck.
She stumbled around trying to get on her feet then I lost sight of her.
Its a 10 acre lot of 4ft high goldenrod .
It was getting dark quick and staring to rain lightly .
I drove around with my 4 wheeler but realized I needed to wait till daylight .
So I’ll be there tomorrow at day break .
Its 40 degs tonight so I’m hoping I can find her fist thing .
I can’t imagine she’s alive…
I hate this so much .. if she’s dead I’m ok with that but I hope she’s not wounded ..
ugggg !!!
None of my spots are great. I get doe and some decent buck pics on my cam but most at night ..
One spot is deep in the woods kinda mid way down on a flat .
I have a ground blind there . Killed a doe there last year and a decent buck two yrs ago.
Yesterday at for 8 hrs saw nothing !
Back this morning for 6 hrs , nothing.
There is a nice trout stream running thru it , farm fields cut corn and cut beans on the south border and the east border.
I have a ladder stand right on the edge of the woods, facing the woods with the cut corn behind me ..
I don’t sit this stand much but thinking maybe a good evening spot ?
Good luck and safe hunt to all !
I’ll be in my blind by 6
Been seeing lots of does and a few bucks on camera.
I hunt 26 acres alone . The land around me is hunted ..
Im happy if I get one , buck or doe I don’t really care .
Last year I killed a big doe at 10am opening day ..
Two years ago I killed a big doe the last day at 3pm …
I like getting one opening day, takes the pressure off
