just wondering how many people actually checked by the DEC I have been hunting and fishing for over 25 years I spend 150 or more days a year in the outdoors and have never been checked by a DEC officer a few sherriffs and state troopers have stopped me but never asked for a hunting license I spend all night chaseing coyotes fishing the salmon river all summer in a boat I hunt all over the state just wondering who actually gets checked????

spend a little time at any store and you will be scared to death to go in the woods ever go to wal mart the night before...SCARY... a couple year ago some guy had a melt down....because he wanted 2 1/2" slugs...those 2 3/4 are to big for his gun

here is the real problem with this story he must of had a license, so why wasn't he out hunting, people today are to lazy to leave the house pop open the window...shoot a squirel...go play Xbox if this is the future of our sport....we are in trouble

my wife shoots a encore with a 12g smooth bore barrell and loves it good to 100 yds no problem

you guys are missing the point....if criminalls want guns they will get them how many guns are stolen every year??? all the laws in the world cannot stop a theif laws only effect legale gun owners...period NY's 20 million doller finger print law has never helped put 1 single criminall in jail....but we legal gun owners still have to deal with it
