  1. We have seen coyotes in black, white, and every color phase in between. Red is fairly common in the Adirondacks. I doubt if they are crossed with wolves, dogs, red foxes, or anything but coyotes.
  2. They are out in the woods, as they are everywhere. We had our Tug Hill cabin burgled and they took all...all the copper tubing for our propane stove, lights, everything. Local police know who they were, but no proof. We are now building our stands with enclosed towers and wood ladders, they would need a tractor with bucket to remove them. Someone will...
  3. Where do you hunt? Could I maybe follow you around?
  4. And how would I know it was an escapee, unless I had made the hole in the fence? I am not into bragging, but if I needed a good head mount for home or camp, sure, why not? The deer was wild and free, and it was legally taken.
  5. Closeup of a nice buck (he is off limits)100_2546_2565.MOV.
  6. This was a small bull moose who passed by our cam on Tug Hill last fall. He stayed in the neighborhood a few days visiting some heifers.
  7. sounds more to me like a camera malfunction, but hey, I am not familiar with that brand.
  8. Hi. I grew up near Lowville and used to hunt Pico Mountain area near Brantingham for many years. Too far to walk. We now hunt Tug Hill only.
  9. this would be ideal for a group of 4-8 who get along well and enjoy hunting, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, and the outdoors.
  10. Sure. Camp is on Pitcher Road which is off Sears pond Rd off rt 177. Built in about 1983. 2 stories with living room, kitchen, dining, loft, bathroom, downstairs bedroom. sleeps up to 14. propane gas, generator, wired for electric but no electric. added large double garage with room for 4 vehicles. attic over garage could be more bedrooms. Land is mixed hardwood, softwood, beaver pond...typical tug hill. Land with camp is 78 acres. Adjoining property is 59 acres with small camp on pond about 1/4 mile from road. Also 1 parcel still available with 51 acres, no structures. Over the years, we have averaged about 8 hunters hunting from 1 to 20 days. We have taken average 4 bucks a year, with a best of 7 or 8. Some big, some small. If you want private, wilderness hunting, it is here. We do have trails throughout so any deer you take is accessible. And of course, if you are a snowmobiler, well, we have had annual snowfall up to 400 inches...8 feet in one day. Pete is a great guy and knows the property well, so give him a call if you are interested. He has a bunch of photos on his nylandquest site. thanks for looking.
