What kind of tag is that? Looks home made. It looks like a suffolk tag. Suffolk has their own tags for their own lands.

There is only one spot that you can hunt by WFP. It's DEC land on Smith rd. You have to check in at the ridge check station. All the spots on WFP are illegal. I saw them giving out tickets two weeks ago.

Keep in mind that most long Island deer are a lot smaller than upsatate deer in body weight.

I'm near Patchogue, I just started hunt LI last year in Manorville. I still hunt the southern tier upstate. Ticks everywere on the Island. A lot more pressure on small lands. Dec dosen't make it any easier with the check in times and drive times.

I heard that to find the perfect draw weight for yourself. you should sit down in a chair with your bow, hold your feet up in front of you off the floor and draw your bow back. If you can do it, the weight is right for you.

I think rattling will only work if the herd is in balance. When there is a need for buck fighting over a doe.

If I want the meat i'll take a doe. other wise I let him walk on the frist day and any other day. I don't mind the tag soup. It's still enjoyable to be out in the woods.

I used this stuff last year, not one tick or mosquito bite. As far as scent, I had two deer on two different days walk up to me on the ground. 5 yds away. One jumped when i moved the other small buck just keeped feeding as he walked on by. I'll never go hunting with out it!!

My wife just did one last night at the range. I hate beginners. LOL.
